Twisted Path
Brandi, of Twisted Path, is at her happiest and most whole outside, wandering through Wisconsin's woods, fields, prairies and waterways, and she has always been a gatherer of natural treasures: stones, nests, bones, feathers, and the very best sticks.
She is, as Mary Oliver wrote, "a bride married to amazement" and her work is a study and celebration of her love and awe of Nature; cycles of life, death and rebirth, and the interconnectedness of all life.
Because her work celebrates and honors Nature, the works themselves are crafted to be returned to Earth in time, and will compost. The vines and other natural elements she gathers on her wanderings. The flowers she buys from trusted local growers. She strives to keep them all natural, with the exception of small applications of wire or glue to keep the elements in place.
